Brava Cerâmica  Terms of Service

By booking a Brava Cerâmica  retreat, you agree to the following terms.

Booking and payment
The full retreat price is €1,350.

You can reserve your place with a €300 deposit or pay the full €1,350 when you book.

If you pay a deposit, the remaining €1,050 is due 60 days before your retreat begins. If you book close to the balance due date, payment in full may be required when you book.

Your place is secured once the required payment has been received.

Retreat format
Brava Cerâmica  retreats are taught in small groups of up to eight participants and are open to all levels, from complete beginners to people with an established ceramics practice.

The retreat dates and primary ceramics practice are fixed at the time of booking. Your ceramicist and detailed course information may be announced closer to the retreat.

The studio hours and core Brava programme remain consistent. Activities outside the studio may change depending on the season, weather and the people we work with locally.

We may make reasonable changes to teachers, activities, timings or other programme details where necessary while maintaining the overall quality and character of the retreat.

Cancellation by you
If you cancel more than 60 days before your retreat begins, 50% of your €300 deposit will be refunded.

Within 60 days of the retreat beginning, your booking is non-refundable.

If we are able to fill your place, we will refund everything you have paid except the €300 deposit.

You may transfer your booking to another person at no additional cost by contacting us before the retreat.

Cancellation by Brava Cerâmica
If Brava Cerâmica  cancels your retreat, all payments made to Brava Cerâmica  will be refunded in full or, if you prefer, transferred to another available retreat.

We are not responsible for flights, accommodation or other travel arrangements booked separately.

We recommend choosing flexible or refundable travel where possible and taking out appropriate travel insurance.

What is included
Your retreat includes five days of studio practice with your ceramicist, clay and materials, use of studio equipment, glazing and firing, and standard European shipping of your finished pieces.

The retreat also includes the meals, activities and experiences described on the relevant retreat page and in your booking information.

Optional activities, including activities such as surfing, massage or additional yoga, may be arranged separately and are not included unless specifically stated.

Accommodation
Accommodation is booked separately.

From 2027, you may choose to stay at Casa Bravura or arrange your own accommodation nearby. The ceramics retreat itself remains the same whichever accommodation option you choose.

Ceramic work and firing
Your work remains with us after the retreat so it can dry, be glazed where applicable, and be fired.

Ceramics are handmade and firing is an inherently variable process. Cracking, warping, glaze variation or other changes can occur during drying and firing. Brava Cerâmica  cannot guarantee that every piece will survive the making and firing process or achieve a specific result.

Participants are asked to sign their pieces clearly so that work can be identified after firing.

Shipping
Firing, packing and shipping of your finished pieces are included up to €50 in shipping costs.

If the total shipping cost exceeds €50, you will be asked to pay the difference before your work is shipped.

We take great care when packing finished work. However, once a parcel is in transit, Brava Ceramica cannot accept responsibility for damage or delays during transport.

If a parcel is returned and needs to be shipped again, the additional shipping cost is the participant’s responsibility.

Dietary requirements and allergies
We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and most other dietary requirements.

You are responsible for informing us of dietary requirements and allergies when requested as part of your booking information.

Participation and safety
Participants are expected to follow reasonable studio, equipment and safety instructions and to treat other participants, ceramicists, staff, property and the surrounding landscape with care.

You are responsible for providing accurate booking and contact information and for informing us of relevant dietary, accessibility or other practical requirements.

Travel
Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel, passports, visas, insurance and other documentation where applicable.

Detailed travel information and directions will be provided before the retreat.
